It is not uncommon in France for the local wine shops to bear the name Caveau. Translated ‘small cellar’, Caveaus are as much a place to purchase wines as they are a destination to stop and taste. The best of these local merchants distinguish themselves by seeking out quality-conscious producers, back vintage bottlings, and rare cuvees not typically seen on the open market.
Our import selections are eurocentric, representing the most relevant producers in France, Italy, Austria, Germany, and beyond. On the domestic side, Les Marchards is a tireless proponent of its local terroir. Our county is on the forefront of an exciting movement towards wines of balance, purity, and a sense of place. No surprise, the domestic focus relies heavily on dynamic local producers who are shaping and redefining the region.
